A Chance Encounter

Kari was leaning against the bars of one of the bridges in the village. She was looking over at her reflection in the water. Rikuo said over and over that she was pretty, beautiful and whatever else he could think of. Kari smiled lightly actually believing him. What were the chances of that fateful encounter ending up in a blossoming relationship like theirs. Her eyes then looked at the necklace he had given her which made her giggle a little. Kari knew that she would never lose it seeing as it already meant just as much to her as it did him.

"Who would've thought I'd run into you Hikari, why are you looking at yourself hmm?" Just then her old friend yet new enemy Airi seemed to stand there with her hands crossed over her chest with two other girls that did not look familiar at all.

Hikari, hearing the familiar voice, turned her head and blinked a bit at Airi's words. This made her push herself away from the gate and stand there a bit just staring at Airi and the girls. This wasn't someone she remembered helping her out so long ago. For the sake of Airi's health Kari hoped that Rikuo would come soon as they said there were going to meet here. "Airi, it's none of your business, what do you want?"

Just then one of the girls gasped pointing to Hikari's neck, "Isn't that Rikuo's necklace?! How'd you get it?!!!" Airi and the girls blinked then a sense of jealousy came over all of them. Airi then spoke, "So not only do you think your special but you are getting real comfy with our crush? You make me sick.."

Kari took a deep breath before setting her hands on her hips, "You make me sick too Airi, get over yourself.."

Aya came around the corner seeing her daughter drift off to sleep in the arms of her boyfriend. She couldn't help but raise a eyebrow at Hikari's sudden change of having someone in her personal space. Ever since her little spout with Airi Hikari barely liked anyone touching her. This boy really seemed to change Hikari in a matter of weeks. Aya tried to pry Kari from Rikuo but to no avial it didn't work. "Let him stay the night Aya in the extra room. She isn't going to let him go unless he's staying here. Besides it'll be nice for him to have awarm breakfast." Tanzaku smiled at rikuo then his wife while looking over at his daughter who was sleeping. "She has that death grip like her mother."

Rikuo sighed as Kari wouldn't let him go and he chuckled a bit as he watched Aya try andpry her off of him but she couldn't. Rikuo had to admit that was some grip she had when she wanted to and he hoped she never used that grip on him in anger as it would probaly end badly for him. He nodded when he was allowed to stay the night and he scooped Kari up so that he could carry her and her mother led him to her room. Rikuo layed her in her bed and she finaly let go of him he gave her a qiuck peck on the forhead before he tucked her in and left the room being lead to the guest room. When he got their he turned and bowed slightly to both Kari's mother and father in thanks "Thank you for letting me spend the night" Rikuo said this with a slight bow and wished both Kari's Mother and Father a good night before he himself entered the guest room to sleep.

He layed down on the bed after takeing his shirt of and folding it onto the small table in the room as he looked up at the ceiling of the room he was in. Rikuo couldn't help but grin as he thought how the meeting with her parents had gone and was happy he was happy that they had approved of him and would let him date their daughter hell he was happy that they belived that he could become Hokage and that meant a lot to him. Rikuo smiled as he closed his eyes so that he could go to sleep and get ready for the next day.
