Personality:
Hisako has grown up with two brothers and because of this can be a little bit of a troublemaker. Alongside her twin brother she will occasionally practice her new ninja arts on unsuspecting members of her clan. She is generally good natured and is a happy child most of the time. Aside from some family drama she has experienced no real tragedies in her short life. However, Hisako does value her alone time and enjoys quiet activities as much as loud, busy ones. As an introvert, she often prefers to think about things privately and is not quick to share the workings of her mind. To people who have just met her she might seem shy or stand offish but will warm up once she gets to know them.
To her family she is blunt but polite and respectful, epically to her father. Hisako tries hard to please them and puts this as a top priority in her life. This is evident by her seemingly submissive behavior to her father's requests despite the unhappiness it brings her. To her mother she is more open and more willing to share her feelings but even then she close guards many of her inner thoughts and chooses her words very carefully.

Her father believes in traditional “gender roles” and has pressured Hisako to take up feminine arts ever since she was a young girl. She obeys him out of respect and a desire to please him even though she finds little joy in the things that some may call her "hobbies". These things that her father says are proper for a woman are activities such as learning how to cook and play koto (traditional Japanese stringed instrument). And while she excels in these two areas they bring her no joy. Things that do bring her joy are “practicing ninja arts” with her brother, swimming, and climbing trees. When she has alone time she likes to doodle and sit in trees to watch people.

Like other members of the Hyuuga clan Hisako has the clan’s kekkei genkai, a pair of pale eyes that can see a person’s chakra system. Also, as a member of the branch families of the Hyuuga clan she has the curse mark on her forehead. However, the mark is always covered either by her Konoha headband or by a piece of cloth. As if for further measure to cover up the mark she keeps long bangs that cover her forehead. She is short in stature compared to others of her clan. Even her twin brother is taller than her, she hopes to one day ketch up in height. She is a little on the small side but looks bigger because she wears clothes that are baggy. On a day to day basis she can be found in a loose fitting shirt with a coat over it, and blue pants. The coat is a little big for her but she wears it anyways because it is her older brother’s old jacket.

History:
Hisako and her twin brother Hito were born to Yusei and Hibawari Hyuuga July 23rd. The family had had only one child before, a son named Hiro. Yusei and Hibawari had wanted another son and had not been expecting twins. In fact, they did not know they were having twins until it came time for Hibawari to deliver. The joke in the family is that Hisako was the unexpected one, when it is unclear which child was born first. Yusei was proud to have two sons who could potentially grow up to be great ninjas but saw his daughter to be weaker simply because of her gender. He believed that she should stay far away from battlefields as it was “not her place”. But such a stance was not really possible in the ninja world. Still, as Hisako grew up she would want to chase after her twin and older brother but was often kept inside to be around her mother to learn more lady-like skills. Despite what her father tried Hisako still found ways to enjoy herself and play with Hito.
It wasn’t until she entered the academy with her twin that she found enjoyment in pulling pranks. With these new skills the two could attack their fellow clansmen with incredible efficiency. While Hisako loved the challenge of pranking people these activities greatly displeased her father. She was unwilling to give up the quality time she had with her brother but began to work harder in koto and cooking in an attempt to gain his approval. It didn’t work and her relationship with her father began to fall apart quickly. Still, she worked hard, trying to make the man proud. Her father is the source of a lot of Hisako’s personal problems as she often wonders if he loves her.
When Hisako and Hito were ten years old their paternal aunt passes away, leaving their younger cousin orphaned. The family took the girl, Hitomi, in. Hisako and Hitomi got along very well and treated on another like sisters. However, her father began to treat Hitomi like how he had once treated Hisako. He was trying to mold his sister’s daughter into the ideal woman that his own child could never be. The two girls were still able to treat each other well but Hisako was still a little jealous of the time her cousin would spend with her father.
At age twelve Hisako graduated with her twin and the rest of her class. She hopes to one day be able to study to be a medical ninja and be placed in a team that she will like.
