[Zephyr Uchiha]

Zephyr woke up in an unfamiliar place. The walls were white, the floor was wood, much unlike his apartment. Shocked, he leaped up from the ground, realising he was in his white gi, and looked around for enemies that could have captured him. He only saw an older man, sitting in a chair reading a book. The man looked up at him and smiled.

"You're awake. Good. Ready for today's training?" Reality slowly began to sink in for Zephyr. This was his Master, the creator the Dojo. Zephyr blinked and wiped away the grime in his eyes. He guessed he had passed out. He always trained intensely.

Zephyr nodded, and the man stood up and motioned for Zef to follow him. Zephyr followed him out of the room and into the main floor. People were already showing up to train, and it was probably only a half hour after sunrise. They were seriously dedicated. The young Uchiha figured he could probably beat the lower-skilled half of the students, maybe two-thirds. Some of these people had trained their entire lives and were in their mid-twenties - experts of hand-to-hand combat. He looked up to them, even if Taijutsu wasn't his strong point. To be a perfect shinobi, he had to be skilled in all three arts.

He nearly ran into his master when he suddenly stopped. He pointed right to the dummy Zephyr had kicked the crap out of yesterday.

"Continue," he sad, and walked off. Zeph sighed, his stomach grumbling from hunger, but still leapt forward and crashed his foot into the dummy. Stuffing puffed out of it, but it stayed on the rack. Zephyr yelled and threw four strong and fast punches at it, kicking more stuffing out. He sighed. His goal was to learn the Rock Fist Style, the Taijutsu used by the famous Might Gai. You had to be speedy and strong as hell to utilize it. He didn't know what he was doing wrong, though. Ever since that mission two weeks ago he had been training his body to be faster and stronger with his attacks, but he was still missing something...

Zephyr continued to whack away at the dummy as he pondered what it was.

His master studied him from afar. He was his favorite student, though he wouldn't admit it. He saw a bright future in this young Uchiha. He had the natural ability and the trained ability, and all the intangibles like intelligence and determination... The old man began to walk towards his pupil, knowing he was getting frustrated. His attacks were getting sloppier but stronger by the hour.

It seemed like an eternity for Zephyr. He had all but decimated the bag, and had continued onto a new one when his master touched his shoulder with his hand. Zeph stopped what he was doing and looked back at him.

"The secret to the Rock Fist style... It is not physical. It's what's in here," he said, pointing to his heart. He winked at him and walked away, knowing his student would get the point.

Zephyr nodded, finally understanding. Now he knew what the whole "FOR YOUTH!" thing Might Gai always said was for. It's your emotions that bring out your inner strength... No wonder Aiko has gotten so strong. I've been blind to my soft side in combat. He closed his eyes, looking deep inside of him, and pulling out all of his compassion and energy and excitedness... To find what he really was fighting for.

[Zephyr Uchiha]

Zephyr opened his eyes, his fierce, determined look on his face, then swung a roundhouse kick with all of his strength, the leg moving in a blur as it sliced through the air. When his foot collided with the bag, it ripped clean through the centre of it. The second half of the bag fell to the ground, the stuffing falling everywhere. His master's eyes popped open with surprise. So soon? He reminded him of Might Gai... The master of the style. A bright future indeed awaited this kid.

Zephyr looked at the destroyed bag and could only grin. He'd gotten it! All-out power, speed, and most of all, emotion went into every strike. No wonder they did thousands of push-ups and rediculous running distances. You have to have amazing endurance to go all-out in a battle for an extended period of time. He turned around, and bowed to his master, before taking one step...

And falling flat on his face. That one strike had taken a bit of his energy, and he hadn't even eaten yet this morning. Everyone looking laughed, but now respected the kid even more. Zephyr had the style down... He just had to get some food now.
